Started by Gaëlle Drevet, a Saint-Etienne native turned New Yorker, The Frankie Shop was born out of a wish to serve women who appreciate individuality over conformity, like herself. The Frankie Shop caters to the modern woman who really cares and is determined to live completely on her own terms. In Gaëlle’s own words: Women who work as hard as they play. As soon as The Frankie Shop opened its doors in New York’s Lower East Side, it became synonymous with sleek and oversized suiting–mixing ideas of classic menswear with womenswear while drawing references from Gaëlle’s French upbringing and her move to New York. Gaëlle’s strong concept very quickly resonated far beyond New York, and now The Frankie Shop has four brick-and-mortar locations in both New York and Paris and is carried across top retailers, both online and in-store. From the early days to now, Gaëlle and The Frankie Shop have believed that good style is a thing that cannot be defined nor confined by anything specific. Why?
