Our Legacy, a contemporary Swedish fashion brand that has been redefining
menswear since its inception in 2005. Founded by childhood friends Jockum
Hallin and Cristopher Nying, Our Legacy started as a line of graphic t-shirts
before evolving into a full-fledged fashion brand. The duo’s vision was to
create clothing that transcends seasonal trends, focusing instead on pieces
that mature with age and wear, much like a legacy passed down through
generations. According to the creative leadership of Our Legacy, Jockum Hallin
and Christopher Nying, their aesthetic has always been detached from ‘fashion’.
They simply wish to create pure and outstanding products, without the
constraints of being a ‘fashion’ brand.Therefore, anti-fashion has always been
one of the pillars in their ideology. This can be seen in their normcore
approach to styling. For them design doesn’t have to be over the top or
glamorous to be distinguishable, they would rather focus on fabrics, aesthetics
and longevity. In a sense, they should be seen as more of a product-focused
company than a fashion brand. The products are mostly made from recognizable
silhouettes but become severely uplifted by meticulously curated fabrics and a
unique aesthetic, allowing them to stand out without losing touch with the
overarching concept of classical mens and womenswear; a concept that has always
been at the very root of Our Legacy. Our Legacy's design philosophy centers on
the idea of “imperfect perfection.” This is evident in their use of premium
materials, carefully considered cuts, and attention to the smallest of details.
The brand’s collections often feature natural fabrics, artisanal techniques,
and a muted color palette that allows the wearer’s personality to shine
